TOWNHOUSE RESTORATION AND ENERGY UPGRADE IN PADOVA

Nestled within a complex of approximately two hundred social housing units dating back to the 1960s, this small single-family house exhibits typical architectural features of INA Casa construction: exposed brick, linear and clean spaces, and compositional modularity allowing for harmonious expansions within the building complex.

The functional and energy adaptation to current standards of comfort and consumption calls for a decisive intervention carried out with care and sensitivity.

An eco-sustainable and entirely replicable intervention on a large scale has spurred a collaboration with the University Institute of Architecture of Venice – IUAV – for the preparation of a thesis on this compelling topic.
